Out of 200 acres land rights an estimated volume of 50,000 tons of raw material can be excavated. This includes veins 1, 2 and 3.
In 1990, it was revealed that 100ft down has an additional quartz vein, which was about 85ft deep. No underground mining has been done on this quarry yet. But it still remains an option and has a lot of advantages when done.
This graph represents “veins 1-2-3 volume of raw material” covering an area of 7acres. Remaining acres is virgin land. No work has been done on it.

Property Summary and History:
Mr. Steckly, a local Chiropractor, discovered this Mclintock Township Quarry forty years ago. At that same time, I (Floyd Jones) was developing an export market representing six different quarries in Ontario, Canada.
In the early 80’s, I decided to buy the Mclintock Township Quarry and I developed the “in demand of landscape and stucco needs for the U.S. and the Canadian market, substantial income was generated.
Around the early 90’s, illness limited our production. To secure future rights, expletory drilling was completed to confirm quantity and quality of reserves and 21 years renewable lease was established with the Ontario Government.
Reaching 85 years of age in 2007, the operation stopped. My wish and desire is to give to young entrepreneurs a chance to invest in a challenging venture.
Work History:
Quartz constitutes 90% of a pegmatite vein that cuts metagabbro just north of west Fletcher Lake. As of 1977 open excavation has been carried out on the dike, the main quarry reached 90 ft. x 25 ft. x 18 ft. deep at that time. About 8000 tons of superior quality quartz had been marketed. Since then, the same site has been increased in superficies.
From the assessment files:
1990 – 1991 Floyd Jones completed manual and mechanical stripping of the quartz vein.
1992 – Floyd Jones completed stripping, drilling and blasting on the property
1993 – Floyd Jones completed more drilling, blasting and sampling of the quartz vein.
1995 – Mr. Jones continued to do physical work on the property.
Workings At Present:
Excavation was ended in 2007.
